Coquille de Mer, Vermentino - Xavier Roger
A wonderfully exotic and lighter style of dry white, using grapes grown within sight of the azure Mediterranean. A great example of the Italian Vermentino grape from France's outstanding Languedoc-based Xavier Roger. Coquille de Mer uses grapes from the Cebazan area to create an easy drinking, dry and crisp wine. Pale lemon in colour with aromas of lime, pink grapefruit, apricot and floral notes, it shows ripe peach and tropical notes on the palate with a balanced acidity and refreshing finish. ideal on its own, or with summer salads, seafood, creamy chicken dishes or asparagus risotto. So easy drinking and utterly delicious!
