Quibre, Cabernet Sauvignon
Tremendous Chilean Cab!!! The vines are grown in a combination of granite and clay-loam soil slopes which are cooled by the Pacific ocean’s influence on the region. The vines yields are typically just 4 tonnes per hectare, a very small crop where fruit is selected by quality of the bunches. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, then the wine spends 14 months aging in neutral barrels (fourth or fifth use). The wine is bottled unfiltered as to retain as much flavour and sense of place as possible. Very small production at just 2800 bottles! A lovely drop if Cab Sav is your thing...it most certainly is ours!
