San Pedro de Yacochuya 2017
"James Suckling - 93 Points"
Seriously great value wine alert! Made from 85% Malbec / 15% Cabernet. Average vine age 60 years.Fermented in small stainless steel tanks and aged for 12 months in French oak (60% new). Unfiltered and unfined.
Big alcohol but so well balanced. Dark fruit, chocolate, vanilla, oak and pepper. Develops well in the glass over time opening tabacco and smokieness, liquorice and wet earth, coffee and cedar. Brilliant at this price point.
Decant for an hour plus, to feel the full benefit of this bottle.
